TheNationalTaxInstituteofStateTaxationAdministration,based in Yangzhou of Jiangsu Province, is currently the only education and training institution for tax officials directly under the State Taxation Administration. Seated near the Slender West Lake, a renowned and picturesque scenic spot in China, the Institute boasts a profound and effulgent history, as well as classic and elegant scenery. From 1992 to 2002, the Institute was accredited tooffermainlyfull-timetax-relatedundergraduateprograms. In June 2004, it was established as the International Taxation Training Center of STA. In March 2016, the OECD-STA Multilateral Taxation Centre(OECD-STA MTC) wasinauguratedhere.InApril 2019, the Belt and Road Initiative Tax Academy Yangzhou (BRITA Yangzhou) was incepted. In 2020, approved by the State

Commission Office of Public Sectors Reform (SCOPSR), the Institute, based in Yangzhou, successively incorporated three branch campuses in Changsha, Dalian and Beijing.

As the sixth OECD MTC in the world and the first located beyond OECD countries, the Institute, joining hands with international organizations such as OECD, International Monetary Fund (IMF), JapaneseInternationalCooperationAgency(JICA),UnitedNations Development Program (UNDP), Lincoln Foundation, Study Group onAsia-PacificTaxAdministrationandResearch(SGATAR) and the big four accounting firms, held around 130 bilateral and multilateral international training programs, benefiting 8,470participantsfromAsia, Europe,Africa,LatinAmericaandbeyond.
