【Biography】

Assoc. Prof. Hong Dang received his PhD degree in 2021 and is currently a member of the State Key Laboratory of Optical Fiber and Cable Manufacture Technology. His research focuses on fiber scattering and its applications in high-resolution spectroscopy and intelligent sensing.

Dr. Dang has been selected by the Young Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), won the SUSTech President’s Outstanding Postdoctoral Fellow award, and has been honored with the OGC Young Scientist award by the IEEE Photonics Society for his contributions to photonics.

As of now, he has published over 20 SCI-indexed papers, two of which have been chosen as editor's picks. His doctoral dissertation was awarded the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation of Harbin Institute of Technology and was nominated for the National Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation in the Field of Measurement Control and Instrumentation by the China Instrument and Control Society (CIS).
