【Biography】
Professor Michel Behr, director of the MOSaR (Safe and Sustainable Mobilties) research federation at Gustave Eiffel University. He obtained his PhD in biomechanics from Aix-Marseille University in 2004, and is a researcher (rank of research director) at the Applied Biomechanics Laboratory, focusing on injury mechanisms of the human body, of the foot-ankle segment particularly. His approaches range from experimental campaigns to numerical simulations. He developed the G8SIM foot-ankle model, widely used in research and industry for the design of orthopedic and sports shoe insoles. He has also directed more than 20 PhD projects in the field. After 5 years as deputy director of the Transport, Health and Safety department, Michel is now director of the MOSaR (Safe and Sustainable Mobilties) research federation, which brings together over 15 research laboratories and is a major player in road safety research in France.
