【Biography】

Dr. Pedro Figueiredo is an Associate Professor holding a PhD in Sports Science from the University of Porto, Portugal. After completing his doctoral studies, he undertook two postdoctoral research fellowships, served as a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland, and was invited as a researcher at the National Institute on Aging (NIA) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Dr. Figueiredo has also held positions as Assistant Professor at Maia University and Lusófona University in Portugal. With over 100 published papers, his research focuses onphysiology and biomechanics of human movement, exercise and health, sports injury prevention, and optimization of athletic performance.
