
【Biography】Eugene Wong, Associate Professor, is the Deputy Director of the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Cluster (NAMIC Hub@SIT) at the Singapore Institute of Technology. He is also an Outstanding Volunteer and the Best Committee Member of the Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES).He has made significant contributions to the development of additive manufacturing technologies by utilizing recycled plastics and reinforcement materials (such as pineapple leaves, coconut shell fibers, chitosan, and waste coffee grounds) to develop metal FDM filaments and sustainable composite FDM filaments.
【Research interests】Primarily focused on additive manufacturing technologies, lightweight aluminum-magnesium metal matrix/polymer composites, and materials microwave processing.
