2019年1月21日 德国马克斯·韦伯基金会中国代表马勀思（Max Fölster）、法国远东学院中国中心主任杜杰庸（Guillaume Dutournier）来访，就与北外历史学院将于2019 年9 月20-21 日合作召开“中国经历与汉学生成：旅居中国的西方学者（从19 世纪晚期到20世纪上半叶）”（The China Experience and the Making of Sinology: Western Scholars Sojourning in China （from the late 19th century to the first half of the 20th century））达成了共识。
